I just passed the real estate test. Can I join Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®?
Why do I need to be a member of Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®?
Included in your annual dues to Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® is also membership to Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. This provides you with a wide array of benefits, business tools, real estate market data, and educational opportunities to help you succeed in today’s market along with many discount programs for things like insurance, electronics, technology, financial services, travel, automotive and more! Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® also offers continuing education classes, training classes for MLS service systems and educational seminars throughout the year along as well as a number of social functions such as the annual golf outing, member appreciation cookout, holiday party and various other events put on by select committees. The Association's web site (trarealtors.net) is a tremendous resource of information including all of the various forms you will need. We also have a supply store with signs and other materials that can be helpful as you list and sell homes. Not as readily evident and perhaps most important is the work that Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®, Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® are doing behind the scenes to monitor what’s happening with local, state and national legislators making sure nothing is done that would adversely affect the housing market making it more difficult for you to conduct the business of selling real estate.
How do I get access to the Multiple Listing Service?
You will pay quarterly fees to Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® that will enable you to use our MLS vendor Midwest Real Estate Data.
How much are dues?
The dues you pay are based on your level of membership with Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® as a Designated REALTOR®, REALTOR®, Affiliate or Appraiser. The current fees are posted on our site (see Dues Overview).
When do the annual dues have to be paid?
Annual membership renewals are due in October.
When is new member orientation?
All new members are required to attend new member orientation. This program deals with such important subjects as understanding the purchase agreement and applicable riders, the REALTOR® code of ethics, fair housing laws and personal safety while listing and selling real estate. Sessions are presented every quarter. Contact the association for a schedule.
How do I get a keycard?
When you join our Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®, you have the opportunity to lease a Sentrilock key. An Skey is a tool of the trade. Please note that your key card lease with our association is included in your quarterly MLS user fees. There is a $50 activation fee. In addition to the key card, you can also purchase electronic lock boxes in our REALTOR® Store. You can also have this service on your Iphone, Blackberry or Android.
What is the Association's web site?
Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® web site is www.trarealtors.net. Once logged in, you can pay your bill online, view our calendar of events, and access all of the forms you need. It also provides quick links to other industry web sites, a schedule of continuing education classes and much more! We also encourage you to find us on Facebook.
