Volunteer Committees
Affiliates Committee
The purpose of the Affiliates Committee is to serve Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® by providing educational and networking opportunities to all members. The committee works with other committees to promote better relationships within the Association by encouraging ideas, innovations, and the talents of our members.
Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee seeks to promote diversity within our membership and leadership and to educate on issues of diversity and fair housing, making us better advocates for homeownership and equality.
Golf Committee
The golf committee’s mission is to plan a successful annual golf outing that will provide a day of fun and networking opportunities for our members while following the budgetary constraints set forth by our Board of Directors.
Governmental Affairs Committee
This committee meets with the Governmental Affairs Director to monitor local legislation and reviews issues which affect private property rights.
Grievance Committee
This committee reviews any complaints made by public or members to determine if the complaint has sufficient substance and merit to warrant an ethics or arbitration hearing or mediation proceedures. To serve on this committee members must attend Pro Standards training in January.
Podcast Hosting Team
Our podcast host and co-host are responsible for creating and hosting engaging podcast episodes on a monthly or semi-monthly basis. This team researches and develops podcast episodes with the goal of building a dedicated audience and increasing member engagement across multiple platforms.
Professional Standards Committee
Overseeing committee to adress the multi-board code of ethics and arbitration complaints filed. To serve on this committee members must attend Pro Standards training in January.
RPAC Committee
This committee is responsible for educating our members about the impact Federal, State, and local legislation has on the real estate industry; promotes political awareness and involvement; and raises funds to support pro-REALTOR® candidates in order to help protect the real estate business and private property rights.
Special Events Committee
This committee is composed of REALTOR® and Affiliate members to plan and promote participation in Association activities, including the Holiday Party.
YPN (Young Professionals Network)
The purpose of the YPN Committee is to serve Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® by providing educational events, service opportunities, and networking experiences. The committee works to uplift and help develop individuals within our industry, in their business and relationships.
Appointed Committees
Awards Committee
The Awards Committee objectively reviews nominations for association awards for REALTOR® of the Year, Rising Star, Affiliate of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, and Good Neighbor. The committee awards those recipients that are deemed qualified above and beyond all other nominees for the specific award they are nominated for. The committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors.
Finance Committee
The President-Elect serves as Chair and the Secretary/Treasurer serves as Vice-Chair. The committee assists in budget preparation and may review the Association’s fees. Members of the committee must have served as a Director of the Association. Members are appointed by the Board of Directors.
Leadership Development Taskforce
The Leadership Development Task Force is responsible for recruiting potential participants for our Leadership Development Program, promoting the Leadership Development Program, and ultimately reviewing applications during the leadership development program selection process. This task force will meet approximately 2 times: once to review and make any necessary changes to the application and once to review applications/select participants for the LDP. Members of this task force should be current or past board members and/or past participants in the Leadership Development Program.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee serves to help identify and screen potential candidates for election to the Association’s Board of Directors. The committee will create a qualified slate of candidates who have an understanding and passion for the Association’s mission and objectives. This committee consists of no less than 7 members with at least 2 members being past presidents (exclusive of any current officer, member of the Board of Directors, or the immediate past president). Members must be approved by the Board of Directors.
